I think I am undeniably one big fan of NewUrbanMale.com.
But I have no freaking idea why.
This evening, I trotted down to The Heeren Shops and Cineleisure after work to get my pair of Havaianas that was currently under the 1-for-1 promotion. I figured I would be away tomorrow till coming Wednesday so I might as well get it over and done with today. Actually, the sale pretty much came at the most appropriate time because I finally could get a pair of Havaianas for Mommy without having to really burn a hole in my purse.
And it’s her birthday tomorrow.
We celebrated it tonight with a massive steamboat dinner and a home-baked cake before she flew over to KL tomorrow for the weekend. And she’s gonna come home with lots of stuff I want!
Okay, so Mommy’s present is prepared very much at the last minute but I believe it’s the thought that counts. The only thing is. I bought the wrong size. Always had the idea that Mommy’s heels are size 5 and her slippers would then be size 6. Don’t ask me why. Thank goodness the item is exchangeable, but I don’t really want to make a wasted trip down if there isn’t going to be a size 4 or size 5 pair for the design Mommy wants. I’m trying to find the various outlet numbers so I can give them a call to find out more tomorrow. Preferably an all-slippers outlet would have higher chances, right?
Right. It’s a trick question.
But I’ve got one teeny wheeny issue with NewUrbanMale. Why must there be limited stocks for size 4 and 5 slippers?! Anyone at NewUrbanMale.com who happens to read this, good for you. Maybe not many people in Singapore are like me – I’ve got pretty dainty feet – but hey, my feet size shouldn’t limit me to the designs of the slippers!
I was always wondering why those larger sizes got all the nicer print slippers, sob. I traveled all the way to The Heeren Shops and then to Cineleisure again just to get more range of slippers for my dainty feet.
Nevermind. Just check out my new slippers:

It’s supposed to be baby green in colour but somehow, the slippers look blueish in this picture. Oh wells. It’s the sixth pair in my collection of flipflops. More to come, I’m sure(:
Anyways.
Adam Lambert on American Idol is simply breathtaking. He reminds me of when I used to go gaga over David Cook. Adam Lambert is my new David Cook. Only, Adam Oliver crosses my mind more often than David Cook does whenever I see Adam Lambert on my desktop, HAHA.
