Let’s talk about work tonight before I go on harping about school and Twilight.
Firstly, my little Victorian boy at Vivo is getting cutter by the day! But the cuter he is to me, the more out of reach he becomes. I figured I wasn’t the only one who thought he was adorable. Apparently, I’ve got competition. BUT. My little boy likes… ME! Hahaha. Betcha can’t believe that, huh? Too bad. Since he’s been up on the kitchen (because Leslie decided to quit), I hardly get any chance to speak to him anymore. Last Tuesday, he was my handsome doorman. And yesterday, he began scooping ice cream, bleh.
What irked me was that the girl who was doing host for the past two nights wasn’t exactly doing her job (and it annoys me to ALWAYS have to bring the menus to her while she stands out there staring at my new sexy scooper). It’s not funny, okay. And you know, when you’re hosting, just do the friggin’ job and stop loitering around taking orders! There’s a reason why we split people to do be hosts and order takers, you know. It makes me feel awful deep down in there when I want to but I just can’t talk to my little boy. The kind of piercing stares he shoots me are… insanely gorgeous for a 16 year old. Gee, why can’t he be born 2 years earlier!
Rwarrrr.
Okay, I shall quit being sour here. It’s pointless.
But anyway, I forgot to get the little Victorian’s number! Maybe I’ll try my luck tomorrow, bwahahaha. Since I’ve gotta plead Joel for our shop’s weekly sales stats because I was too shy to get it from Ace earlier on. Let’s ask Nat for help
They go home together every night.
As for school.. Monday blues hit me hard and I was down with migraine so I skipped my first day of the last term. I couldn’t get up this morning so I passed on FM as well. Hui Wen says the tutor wanted to see me. I was thinking of getting personal tuition from him, LOL. But I know – I say this all the time. Oh, well. I suppose I should be happy settling with a C grade for now.
And lastly, before I go to bed, let me just announce that… I’ve gotten all my Twilight books! And trust me, I think it’s the cheapest and most attractive buy out of all the bookstores I scouted around this afternoon.
Considering all of them ran out of stock and only had the first book left, I figured I’d settle for the cheapest buy to bag. Borders sold one paperback at 18 bucks (for the very least) while Page One sold it at 30 bucks (it was a hardcover, though). Even Popular and Big Bookshop didn’t have them. But Sans Bookstore sold Twilight at 14 bucks, New Moon and Eclipse at 17 bucks each, and Breaking Dawn at close to 19 bucks only! They even had it encased in plastic book wrappers for me! So, being a totally typical Singaporean, I paid for all of them at a go. 65 bucks for 4 books is a pretty good buy, really. I’m probably collecting them next week, so for now, I guess I’ll just have to live with my eBooks.
At least I’m proud to say that I’m reading the entire series for the second time now!
Woohoo.
I realise it’s the last day of 2008 today. Wow, time rockets.
Guess I’ve gotten my entire Wednesday planned out.
ECP, anyone?
