You Are All I Need To Get Me Through

Conrad was awesome. Just awesome.

This isn’t some sort of bragging. But my managers just wowed me, totally.

AD wasn’t as glam as I pictured to be. Maybe in mind, I told myself, “Well, if it turns out as expected – great. If it doesn’t, then I guess I’ve tried my best..” To be honest, I was worried sick into the last week of AD because my event was coming and barely anything was confirmed. My attendance weren’t substantial, neither were my certificates printed, and even the trophies couldn’t be collected. My events company was confirmed 4 days before the event. How’s that for you, folks?

To those who’ve attended and are reading this: Thanks for joining us(: I hope you’ve fun with Shan as our host and enjoyed the dinner too.

Praise the Lord! :D

And I think my managers were soooo awesome. I know I’ve said that before but they astound me with their professionalism and the things they do! Ramesh did the martin lights especially for me (when they were pretty new and Conrad had never used it ever since it was changed), Ah Guan seated my 10 extra guests for me in timely fashion, and even Jovin chipped in to help! My awesome managers did everything told I them to do – from last minute errands to “can you change this to that instead” – without a complaint and even took pictures with me after the event! Jeanie (from the sales and marketing department) was oh-so-helpful with all the arrangements and amendments for the event.  She was so patient and lovely! Gosh. How can anyone not love Conrad?!

Honestly, if not for Ah Guan’s reassurance time and again, I don’t know how I will face my committee with that much last minute shit popping in our faces. He even came up to our hotel room at 1600 hours just to fetch my thumb drive to print a stack loads of documents for me! Gee, I love him to bits! So.. I’ll forgive him for the wrapping me up with black cloth and trying to shove me into a trash bag during the after party thing.

Well, we even ended the night earlier when we clearly were an hour behind time. Shan was great too (I HAVE HIS NUMBER, FOLKS! THE GORGEOUS 987FM DEEJAY SHAN WEE!) with his funny one liners and all. For a veteran in the radio field and not public hosting, I have to say he’s good with accommodating to people. Especially with briefings an hour before the event, hah.

And so, even Mr Tan was impressed with the service, food and the entire night – basically – so next time if I have any favours to ask of the school, I know who to go to! HAHAHA. He even knows I’m in Rovers and asks why I’m there because it’s been so inactive of late. Sigh, didn’t know how to answer that, really. But he liked the souvenirs; the events company offered us 3 pre-dinner events, and one of which was a photo booth where pictures were taken and photo-shopped into a template (with our event details and all), before they were printed out for everyone. It was really nice and thoughtful, and for the first time, AD had left a pretty good impression on people.

Can you even count the number of times I used the word “even” here?!

That’s to you and you and you who refused to come when I told you it’ll be fun! Check out the prizes too – even game prizes were worth $25. And our lucky draw awards were hefty! Glad we had sponsors too, haha. Too bad for you if you lost out :P

As for the free hotel stay – what can I say – the beds were superrrrrrr comfy, the toilet was “WOOHOO!”, and even the study table was filled with Readers’ Digest and Nat Geo and Forbes magazines! You know, five star hotels and all. HAHA. Loved the breakfast too. I was hoping for more at Oscar’s but I was a little disappointed with the assortment of food. $39 per person for breakfast? Nah, glad it was complimentary. The only thing worth my morning at Oscar’s was this very hot and charming chef (who winked at me when he walked by!). Too bad you can’t tell if they’re taken or not because chefs can’t wear accessories during work – not even wedding bands – so I guess I’ll try my luck the next time I’m at Conrad’s level 1 backlane, bwahahaha.

Kudos to my AD committee for all the hard work – they’ve paid off!

And thank you, Daddy God, for supporting me all the way through. My first event in poly and it’s been a heaven of a time. You bring me nothing but joy :)

Picture of the night?

How about I end with this:

Smooches. LOL.

Smooches. LOL.

My camwhoring session began when the kids joined the others to drink at Liquid Gold while I contemplated on joining the seniors at Le Noir to celebrate Ling Yi’s birthday. Well, I did, by the way. Walked over to Clarke Quay in 30 minutes in this outfit, woots. BF was stunned at my ability to walk kilometres in heels! HAH. Take that, Darling!

Oh, in case you have any commentaries about the photo:

“Yes, I’m gorgeous. I know.”

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
