There were these few morons at Conrad last night who spoilt my pretty okay day.
First, it was that TCC small fry manager who was trying to threaten me with CY. Like I’d be soooo scared. Okay, I was a little.. But not until Lulu and Dalland assured me that there was nothing TCC could do because I wasn’t on contract with them during the four-day F1 stint! Hah.
Then there were two chefs who were asking about me while I was waiting for the first course to be served at the back lane. They said if there were anyone in banquet who tried to bully me, they’d stand up for me. HAHAHA. Nice knowing chefs
But there were these three new casual labour guys who kept trying to probe stuff about me during the wedding dinner at the ballroom. Guy A asked if I was local; I said I wasn’t and he commented that I spoke a little too loudly for a feminine Singaporean. What the heck? So I ignored him. Guy B was Malay or Indian, if I wasn’t mistaken. He kept asking for my age. And Guy C (whom I thought was cute, but nevermind) was bugging me for my name. These three guys were calling me by the nickname which only the managers used on me – and that was a total turnoff for me. Where’s the R-E-S-P-E-C-T, big guys?
Anyway, so when I did tell them my name and age, Guy B and C were squabbling about sending me home. AND THEY CALLED ME ‘BABY’. Gosh. A bunch of silly fools. They live at Tampines, by the way. Rwarr. Ah Guan couldn’t stop laughing in the office and even told the rest of the managers about the few guys trying to hit on me, pffffft.
And oh, I slipped and fell on my way out of SB yesterday. It was a totally horrendous sight but it’s okay. I’m hardly ever glamorous so being unglam is pretty much the way I am. The only thing is, my left knee hurts like ^%*$%#$*(* right now! So much for being slow while serving two VIP tables on my own last night. Meanie Ramesh. And I couldn’t go home until 0230 hours because we had to turnover two function rooms.
Oh well.
Off to school for tutorial now. I’ve skipped 2 lectures and GEMS.
